ALL member Clubs and Leagues are directed to obtain and follow the BFA’s Policy on Doping.
THE BARBADOS FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION IS A SIGNATORY TO THE PROTOCOL OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS FOR THE PREVENTION OF DRUG ABUSE IN SPORT AND, BY EXTENTION; ALL MEMBERS OF THE BFA ARE SUBJECT TO THE CONVENTIONS OF THE PROTOCOL.
The BFA reserves the right to carry out doping tests during any competition it organizes and / or sanctions. This right shall extend to training sessions and to ALL REGISTERED players and officials. Such Tests may be carried out at any or all matches during any competition. All players / officials on a Club’s team sheet, including reserves, shall be subject to doping control during a game.
(i) refuses to submit to a drug test;(ii) falsifies or attempts to falsify the result of a test;(iii) intentionally or unintentionally takes banned substances;(iv) Intentionally or unintentionally encourage players / officials to use banned substances; SHALL be subject to disciplinary action by the BFA and the National Association on Substance Abuse.
