BFA Technical Director, Ahmed Mohamed.
Regional administrators will have a chance to get their knowledge and skills up to scratch when Barbados hosts a FIFA Technical Director’s Workshop in the coming weeks from November 6th to 8th. Set to be hosted at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, 11 member associations from across the Caribbean will be on the island to level up.
With the local leg making up part of the pilot phase of the project, it follows on from Technical Director courses that would have been hosted in Antigua and Barbuda and Jamaica back in 2016 and concentrates heavily on the aspects and responsibilities that fall under the Technical Director of a member association. Doubly, the workshop will also serve as a platform for experience sharing among the participants, the confederation and FIFA.
With Barbados having three representatives, participants will be hailing from Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia and the Turks and Caicos Islands. FIFA Consultants Anton Corneal and Hans Hasler will be Course Instructors, while other FIFA Consultants, FIFA staff and Concacaf football experts will be in attendance.
The official opening ceremony is to be held on November 5th at 7:00 PM.
