Ricardio Morris puts pressure on Marlon Greaves of Youth Milan during their match up on Thursday night.
Defending champions Weymouth Wales flex their muscles to hand Youth Milan a 10-0 when these two came up against each other in the BFA Premier League on Thursday night at the Wildey Turf.
It was a tale of two contrasting teams. The defending champions who have all but qualified for the championship play-offs, are enjoying the lead in zone one while Youth Milan who were promoted to the Premier League in 2018 look destined for Division One next season sitting at the bottom of zone two.
Arantees Lawrence back in the squad after missing a number of games for Wales during the season was the chief destroyer. From as early as the 3rd minute he scored the first of his 4 goals which gifted him the man of the match award. Antoine “Pookie” Greaves made the most of a rare start for the Carrington Village based side with a contribution of three goals. Veteran striker Walton Burrowes rolled back the years somewhat and picked up a brace of goals while Shaquille Boyce got the other goal for Wales.
Coach Norman Forde’s Youth Milan could not find an answer to Wales’ rampant display and have now amassed a whopping 16 loses in the 21 games played during the season. This win puts a 6-point gap between Wales and second place UWI Blackbirds and they (Wales) also have the luxury of a game in hand. The finals round of game continue this weekend.
