The Barbados Senior Men’s Team will be playing their next international friendly match against Bermuda on October 28th, 2017. The Bajan Tridents will descend on National Sports Center in the capital of Hamilton to contest the locals in their first match since 2008. On that occasion the Tridents lost 3-0 with all three goals coming in the first half.
The Barbados team has been in training for several months and will be looking to defeat Bermuda who hold a slim lead of 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses in head to head competition against each other.
It has almost been 10 years since the two teams played each other and come next year Bermuda will play a return match in Barbados where the rivalry will continue.
Barbados’ last international match was in July this year when they contested the WIFA Tournament against St. Vincent, Dominica, St. Lucia and Grenada. They defeated Grenada in their final match, drew with Dominica and lost to St. Vincent and St. Lucia in the other matches.
The delegation will be headed by the Technical Director Ahmed Mohamed who indicated that he expects Barbados to do well in the match. The final squad will be announced at a later date.
